SolarPACES Technology Innovation Award 2021
In collaboration with the German Aerospace Center we jointly developed a measurement method which calculates the solar flux density distribution on the receiver of solar tower power plants in real time. Solar power plants can use the information to better align the heliostats, which increases the lifespan of the receiver and the efficiency of the power plant.
Stifterverband Innovative Research 2020
Our long-time research and development activities have been awarded with the certificate for Innovative Research by Stifterverband. The organization manages 680 foundations with total assets of over 3.1 billion Euro and is one of the most important promoters of education, science and innovation in Germany.
CSPPLAZA Technology Innovation Award 2019
The CSPPLAZA Technology Innovation Award 2019 honored CSP Services for the international market introduction of the QFly airborne solar field assessment system and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for the system development. Currently, QFly is the core technology of the commercial “QScan Shape” system.
SolarPACES Technology Innovation Award 2018
This award went to the German Aerospace Center for their QFly development and to CSP Services for their personal involvement. In 2018 QFly was the most advanced method for optical characterization of CSP plants to provide concentrator shape quality and tracking behavior of parabolic troughs.
Solar Paces Technology Innovation Award 2014
SolarPACES Technology Innovation Award 2014 was handed over to CSP Services’ and DLR’s engineers for their innovative work on Rotating Shadowband Irradiometers (RSIs) to measure direct solar irradiance at remote sites.
German Entrepreneur Award Nomination 2012
The German Entrepreneur Award is the country’s most prestigious acknowledgement of entrepreneurial excellence and achievement. We were nominated because “CSP Services managed to transfer knowhow and technology of the German Aerospace Center into commercial products and services.” The advisory committee honored “the professional approach, fast establishment at the market and a consequent internationalization.”
SolarPACES Technology Innovation Award 2009
In 2009 SolarPACES honored the founders of CSP Services for their overall work in “CSP Qualification Technologies”, performed during their professional employment in the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
Society of Friends of the DLR - Innovation Award 2009
The Society of Friends of the German Aerospace Center honored the founders of CSP Services for their “outstanding achievements in the establishment of tools for qualification and optimization of concentrating collectors for solar thermal power plants”.
